April 9, 2008

Alright everyone, what do you think happened with transfers? Let me give you a preface of what i said in reaction to my call. I said, "That is awesome. I am so excited!" I swear, i yelled it at the top of my lungs at 9 o'clock in the morning. I think i woke up the whole palazo but i dont care. Any guesses? That was the coolest thing because the night before i recieved my call i guessed exactly where i am going. I am going to... (drum roll please)... L'Aquila which means eagle in Italian. It is about an hour or two from Rome in the mountains. It is the only place in our mission with huge mountains... and i love the mountains! I am opening a new companionship in L'Aquila with Elder Shepherd. Who was the companion of my Babbo (Anziano Scoville) after he left me. Opening a companionship is very exciting and a lot of work. Our first transfer will be a lot of finding work because we start from scratch... it will be so great. I leave tomorrow morning to pick up my new companion. Anziano Breen is training here. He is very excited as i am for him. I am so excited... but i hate saying goodbye. I have made wonderful friends here that i hate to leave behind. I am full of mixed emotions. The best part is that when one leaves the others are much more prone to do what ever they say. So i have been baring my testimony with great love and pleading with them for their sakes. I know without a doubt that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. Only through this gospel can with live together forever with our families in the Celestial Kingdom. Without it WE CANNOT experience the joy that we want and need. I know that this is true. We often treat lightly the great blessings that we have and can recieve. "Do not procrastinate the day of your repentance" says the Book of Mormon repeatedly. The same goes for not procrastinating preaching this gospel for someone elses salvation. If you are not living the gospel of Jesus Christ, start now! I say that with all energy of heart and out of great love for you. I have seen how this gospel has changed my life and i want it to do the same for you. I love you very much. God bless you. And the only way that He fully can is if you open up to Him. Love, Anziano Beau Richard Brewster
