We had one of the best activities that i have ever had on my mission. We cooked all day long and made decorations for a week straight. It was a blast. It was scheduled at 7 but no one had showed up at that time so we did have high expectations of many people coming, but in all actuality we had about 30 people in this fairly small room, and it was great. We had almost all of our members and 15 non members there. We ate 15 kilos of turkey which comes out to 2.2 lbs for every kilo so you do the math. It was wonderful. It was a little cold because every one was late and then we started to eat even later. I was incharge of the mashed potatoes and we did 10 kilos worth and two full pans of stuffing that i made by hand that was delicious. My companion was such a help and did all of the dirty work of cooking the food and decorating. After we ate speranza and I sang A Poor Wayfarring Man of Grief and shared Alma 37:37 about giving thanks for all that we have. The spirit was so strong and her testimony was powerful. We then did Karaoke. I have a great friend named Maria who is a professional singer and she brought it for us. She bought a song especially for me, O Happy Day from Sister Act 2 that i sang at the very first. I also sang Love me Tender by Elvis Presly and it was a blast. The members built great relationships with our investigators and they are doing the missionary work which is perfect. I loved that night. I will remember it always. I had a great interview the other day with president acerson. I felt like my boxes were being broken and that i wasnt doing good enough but he "broke my boxes" with the spirit telling me the things that i need to do better and change. These past to days i have seen how my work has changed and that many more miracles have come. I love my Mission President. I am so glad that he had the courage and faith to tell me everything that Heavenly Father wanted me to hear and feel. Love, Elder Beau Brewster
